Photography projects

IED Milano, Photography

My history of photography started with my father working as a photojournalist. I’ve held a camera since I was a kid and have always been intrigued by photography. Here are some of my photographs, these images are taken of friends and models. Most are the result of my academic schooling at IED, Milan. I’ve also included some of the abstract photographs that I’ve taken using a microscope.

Portraits

Inspired by the photographs of Yousuf Karch. The aim was to focus on form and posture. These photographs were taken without flash using a 100mm macro lens and continuous light.

Gender blending

The subject of this project was analyzing an art form within pop culture photography. This shoot was the end result of that research. The basis of my research being androgyny.

Thesis:
Augmentation

This is my thesis project. This was shot using a DSLR camera attached to a microscope. I realized these images by creating microscopic sets. The final work was presented in light boxes. What intrigued me can be read here.
